Perfect Fit Roof And Side Blinds In Chesham
September 18, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment
This conservatory is a double edwardian in Chesham, Buckinghamshire. We fitted it today with perfect fit roof blinds and perfect fit side blinds.
As usual with this type of blind we did no drilling or damge to the conservatory as the blinds all clip I using special brackets.
This was an interesting fit because our customer chose a different fabric for the roof and sides. The roof is Regency SPC Steel which is a medium metallic grey colour. The sides were made in Regency SPC Calico.
The roof blinds are operated with a control wand that clips onto the handle on each blind. The blinds can then be moved up and down as you wish.
The side blinds are operated by hand. They move up and down and stop where you leave them. There are no hanging cords to spoil the clean lines of your conservtory.
Double Edwardian Conservatory fitted with Perfect Fit Roof Blinds

This conservatory in Eversley, Hampshire has been fitted with perfect fit roof blinds. The fabric is from the new louvolite range called Regency SPC Calico. This 20mm pleated fabric has a special coating called Solar Protective Coating (SPC). This coating means that much of the glare and heat from the suns rays are reflected or absorbed away from your conservatory.
Keeping Cool In The Summer And Warm In The Winter
The main benefit is that you will find that your conservatory is cooler in the summer months and warmer in the winter months. In the hieght of summer it is best to leave the blinds across the roof so that there is no opportunity for heat gain in the early morning. The blinds cannot make it cool once the heat has got in but they will reduce the heat gain if they are shading your roof from the early morning.
It is unusual to have a double edwardian conservtory and as you can see from the photographs there are a lot of shaped blinds in the roof. As normal with perfect fit blinds they are all fitted with clip in brackets. No drilling is needed to install these roof blinds.
The roof blinds are operated with a twistlock wand that moves the blinds up and down. Even the shapes can be moved up and down. Because each glass section has its own blind the roof blinds appear to be a part of the roof rather than an add on unit.
No Sagging Or Badly Fitting Blinds
A further benefit of this type of blind is that the blinds cannot sag or get loose. Standard conservatory roof blinds can look very untidy after a few years because the tensions in the support wires can get loose. With perfect fit roof blinds this does not happen because even if the wire do lose some tension the blinds are still held tidily within the perfect fit frame. When we service the blinds we can check all the tensions but in the meantime the blinds still look great and operate well.
Perfect Fit Roof Blinds With Obtuse Shapes in Crowthorne

These Perfect Fit Roof Blinds were recently fitted to a conservatory in Crowthorne Berkshire. The perfect fit blind system means that we did no drilling to fit the blinds. The perfect fit roof blind system uses a clever system of clips. These clips are located between the glass gasket and the glass. The blinds are then simply attached to these clips.
This particular conservatory had the further complicaion of 4 obtuse angles in the roof. We overcame this problem by fitting filler blinds at the base of the perfect fit frame. We then made shaped pleated blinds to fill the rest of the shape. The main part of the blind moves up and down as normal. The bottom section is fixed.
We are the only company in the UK that make this type of perfect fit roof blind with obtuse angles. Even the inventors of the system do not offer this option.
The lower picture shows how we fit blinds where there is an opening roof light. We fit one blind above the control rod and the other below the control rod. The frames butt together – See Picture below.
The most complicated conservatory roof blinds in Fleet

Here are a number of photos of a conservatory we fitted with blinds in Elvetham Heath, Fleet. As you can see, the shapes we had to make were a bit of a challenge. All these blinds were fitted without drilling a single hole. They use the superb perfect fit roof blind system. In all there were 60 blinds including filler pieces. The blinds took 1 day to fit and look superb.
Our customers Mr and Mrs Neal were
“Absolutely Thrilled” with the end result. All the blinds were made with Madrid SPC Crystal fabric in 20mm pleats. This fabric has the excellent SPC (Solar Protective Coating) backing that reduces glare and heat in conservatories.
We are finding that our customers much prefer their conservatory roof blinds made with the perfect fit system. The blinds simple clip in and can also be removed for cleaning and maintenance. We continue supplying the standard roof blinds with screw in brackets but the future is with
perfect fit.
The other aspect of having blinds that simply clip in is that your 10 year window warranty will not be compromised in any way. We already have contacts with some of the local window companies who are now insisting on perfect fit blinds for their installations.

This installation was one of the first ones we did using the new perfect fit wood venetians range. These blinds were fitted to the new garden room of a large estate in Marlow.
The slat size is 25mm and there are 11 colours in the range. There are limitaions on the size of blinds that you can have for this type of blind and these blinds were at the top limit of the tolerances.
As with all perfect fit blinds the fit was quick and easy and the results are stunning. This prestige installation shows what can be acheived with the right products in the right location.
Perfect Fit Cellular blinds – No visible cords
August 8, 2008 by admin · Leave a Comment
Perfect fit cellular blinds are made with special pleated fabric. This cellular fabric has a face fabric and a back fabric bonded together to form cells. This is also sometimes referred to as honeycomb fabric.
There are a number of important benefits to having your blinds made with this type of fabric.
- There are no visible cords to the blinds. They are hidden inside the cells of the cellular fabric
- There are no control chains. Operation is with a simple handle on the moving bar.
- Very clean and uncluttered appearance
- Choice of 10 blackout fabrics to give almost complete blackout to a room
- Delicate Sola range to give plenty of light with full privacy
- Improved heat retention in the winter and heat reduction in the summer due to the cellular construction of the fabrics.
One limitation to these fabrics is that they cannot be used for shaped blinds. For shaped conservatory blinds you need to select standard 20mm pleated fabric.
The perfect fit blinds just clip in to your windows. There is no drilling needed for fitting.
Perfect Fit Venetian Blinds

Perfect Fit Blinds come in a number of styles. The 2 most popular ones are with pleated and venetian blinds.
As with all Perfect Fit Blinds – NO DRILLING is needed to fit these blinds.
The venetian blinds come in 2 slat sizes. 16mm micro venetians and 25mm standard slats. The slats are aluminium and the cords come fully colour co-ordinated with the slat colour.
In all there are about 100 slat options in the various sizes. When we come and measure your windows we bring with us a slat selector for you to choose from. There are plain colours, metalic finish, special finishes, perforated and wood look (sometimes called Ali wood or alu wood) slat styles.
With perfect fit venetians you need a bead depth of 20 – 24mm for the best looking fit. We can do smaller bead depths down to 15mm but we have to pack out the frame with foam. We measure and fit these blinds for you although you can order them for yourself on our online perfect fit blinds website here

Perfect fit blinds continue to impress
June 11, 2008 by admin · Leave a Comment
We have been manufacturing perfect fit blinds now for nearly 3 years. As a 5 star acredited supplier we have been thoroughly impressed with the performance of this new style of blind.
Having supplied 1000,s of these blinds we have had very little call backs to them and these have all been of a minor nature. Sometimes when you take on a new product you do worry that it is as good as it seems. In fact perfect fit blinds have become the blind of choice for most of our customers with conservatories.
There are a number of reasons for this.
- You do not need to drill to fit them
- They take up no space on the window sill
- They become part of the window – very discreet
- They are easy to unclip when you want to clean the window
It is very rare for a new product to impress to such a degree. Call us on 01344 452485 to have one of our team visit you and demonstrate perfect fit blinds
